WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Purpose
In this role the individual will assist the team in managing the stock held in the Warehouse, chills, and freezer. Correct management of all stock including administration, handling, storage and dispatch of stock is essential in delivering the highest quality product to the customer and in reducing cost through waste.
Responsibilities/ Key result areas:
- Processing goods in/ deliveries to ensure that the correct product is received in to stock at the right temperature, quantity and quality
- Dispatching customer orders ensuring the correct products have been picked in the right quantity and quality and within the correct date rang
- Picking orders from accurately from pick notes ensuring the correct product and quality have been selected and taking care not to damage the product or packaging
- Loading delivery vans for dispatch safely to specified loading procedure to ensure driver safety and to prevent product damage
- General house keeping to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment
- Observing all health and safety rules and conducting yourself responsibly at all times
- Competent use of our systems including stock management
- Safe use of all equipment in the warehouse including pump trucks, ladders, machinery and fork lift trucks where appropriate
Knowledge/ Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehousing environment
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Have an appreciation of the safety, legal compliance and quality aspects of products.
- Able to work both systematically and productively in a fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills
- Passionate about the business and our customers
